Stage Machinery Transport AGV System | Magnetic Guided AGV Project for Performances

Overview

To meet the needs of stage performances, two magnetic-guided AGVs are to be designed and manufactured for transporting the following two mechanical models.

The AGVs are required to transport the two mechanical models along a fixed route.

The project includes two magnetic-guided AGVs with a 3-ton payload capacity per unit, featuring a four-steering-wheel chassis.

The system is equipped with two 48V 150Ah spare batteries, two manual chargers, approximately 200 meters of navigation magnetic tape, as well as one set of implementation tools and one set of spare parts, ensuring reliable operation and convenient maintenance.

Safety Protection

  • AGVs are equipped with diagonally mounted laser obstacle avoidance sensors for non-contact detection of obstacles.
  • Different warning zones are set based on the distance to the obstacle:
    • When an obstacle is at a farther distance, the AGV sounds an alarm and decelerates.
    • When an obstacle is at a closer distance, the AGV performs an emergency stop and triggers an alarm.
  • After an emergency stop, if the obstacle (e.g., person or object) is removed, the AGV will resume operation following a delay of 3 seconds.
  • The detection distance and zones can be adjusted within a configurable range of 0.1 to 3 meters.
  • AGVs are also equipped with safety bumpers on all sides for contact-based obstacle detection.
  • Upon contact with an obstacle, the AGV immediately performs an emergency stop and sounds an alarm.
  • After the obstacle is removed, the AGV can continue its current task by pressing a reset button.
  • Additionally, the safety bumpers provide a cushioning effect, helping to reduce potential injury to personnel and damage to equipment.

Equipment Installation and Commissioning

Responsibilities of Party A:

  • Be responsible for on-site handling, unpacking, transportation, lifting, and safekeeping of the equipment;
  • Provide the necessary construction site upon equipment arrival, and carry out cleaning and removal of existing equipment and facilities (not related to this project) within the implementation area;
  • Provide temporary power supply interfaces required for the installation of the new equipment;
  • During the installation and commissioning period, Party A shall supply water, electricity, gas, and other resources required for trial operation to the designated equipment connection points, ensuring Party B can carry out installation and commissioning smoothly.

Responsibilities of Party B:

  • Be responsible for completing the installation and commissioning of the equipment;
  • All equipment, tools, and instruments required for installation and commissioning shall be provided by Party B;
  • While working on Party A’s site, Party B shall comply with Party A’s rules and regulations, follow safety operating procedures, and take all necessary safety measures.
