The core of the project is two large-scale guided lift platforms installed side-by-side to work in coordination.

They are designed to address the efficient, precise, and safe vertical transfer of oversized workpieces, such as chassis frames, between different levels of a fully automated production line.

  • High Intensity & Load: Required stable transfer of 12-meter-long, 20-ton heavy chassis frames, posing a primary test for structural strength and long-term fatigue resistance.
  • Extreme Operational Frequency: 24/7, high-frequency operation (400 cycles/day, 350 days/year) pushed the durability of hydraulic systems, mechanical structures, and components to the limit.
  • Critical Synchronization Accuracy: The massive platform must achieve millimeter-level synchronization under all load conditions for seamless docking with conveyor lines, preventing workpiece jams or equipment damage.
  • Absolute Safety Guarantee: Any risk of catastrophic failure during heavy workpiece transfer was unacceptable, requiring a failsafe safety system.
  • Stringent Specifications: The client mandated a full suite of premium industrial brands for all critical components, demanding superior technical integration and quality control from the supplier.

Workflow

  1. Loading: Overhead chain conveyors transfer heavy workpieces (e.g., frames) onto the platforms of the two parallel lifts.
  2. Lifting & Synchronization: Upon command, the four large-diameter cylinders of both units synchronously lift the workpiece to the target floor, controlled precisely by the dual synchronizing motor system.
  3. Precision Leveling & Docking: The PLC control system ensures accurate positioning and perfect alignment with the floor conveyor line, maintaining errors within strict tolerances.
  4. Unloading & Return: The downstream conveyor removes the workpiece. The platform then descends safely to the loading position under the constant protection of the anti-drop device, ready for the next cycle.

  • Industrial-Grade Continuous Duty Hydraulic System: The core employs a high-performance system with a dual-pump, dual-synchronizing motor (one active, one standby) setup and an oil cooling unit, guaranteeing reliable, precise, and uninterrupted operation.
  • Multi-Layer Safety Protection: Beyond hydraulic safety valves, an innovative full-travel mechanical anti-drop device was added, providing a physical lock for dual-layer safety.
  • Premium Control & Integration: A Siemens S7-1200 PLC achieves millisecond-level closed-loop control. The control cabinet meets IP66 protection, suitable for harsh industrial environments.
