Mise en œuvre d'un élévateur à piston à grande vitesse de 60 m/min pour une grande entreprise de logistique
Projet Vue d'ensemble
Background: Facing severe vertical transportation bottlenecks in its core sorting centers during the e-commerce logistics boom, Yunda Express Group needed to overcome limitations of conventional lifts – notably low speed, poor positioning accuracy, and high failure rates.
Solution: Gradin developed a customized 60 m/min high-speed reciprocating lift featuring a servo motor drive system et modular steel structure design. The equipment successfully passed Yunda’s rigorous acceptance tests, integrating intelligent dispatch algorithms et multiple safety protection mechanisms to seamlessly connect package sorting areas between the second and third floors, increasing vertical transportation throughput by 45% and eliminating delivery bottlenecks during peak periods.

Engineering Challenges
Ensuring Absolute Stability and Precise Positioning at High Speeds
Solution:
Drive & Control: Equipped with Siemens servo motors and ABB ACS880 frequency converters using vector control algorithms to achieve precise torque and speed regulation. This ensures smooth acceleration and deceleration, even at 1.5 m/s².
Structural Design: The frame was optimized through Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to minimize dynamic deformation. A four-corner synchronous drive mechanism prevents jamming or vibration caused by uneven loads.
Eliminating the Industry-Wide Risk of Chain Breakage
Solution:
Quadruple Safety Protection: In addition to standard safety devices, the system integrates patented mechanical anti-fall forks, hydraulic damping buffers, electromagnetic safety brakes, and ratchet backstops. In the event of a main chain failure, all four protections activate within 150 ms to lock the platform securely.
Redundancy: Key components—such as Omron limit switches and Schneider safety relays—use fully redundant configurations to ensure no single failure compromises system safety.
Achieving Seamless Integration with Existing Sorting Systems and Reducing Maintenance Time
Solution:
Smart Interface: The lift supports OPC UA industrial communication, enabling seamless integration with Yunda’s WCS for real-time task execution and status feedback.
Predictive Maintenance: Integrated vibration and temperature sensors continuously monitor motor, chain, and bearing conditions. Data analytics identify early-stage anomalies and automatically generate maintenance work orders to minimize downtime.
Application Benefits
- Efficiency Gain: Post-implementation, the sorting center’s vertical transportation efficiency increased by 45%, with peak package processing capacity exceeding 28,000 pieces/hour.
- Fiabilité: Since operation, the equipment has achieved a Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF) exceeding 3,000 hours, far surpassing industry standards.
- Economic Impact: By reducing manual handling and sorting errors, the project saves Yunda over RMB 1.5 million annually in operational costs, with an expected payback period of under 1.8 years.
